So, to add something new to this topic, the hacks that I picked up(all can be found at, unless I specify otherwise): So this gives The Turbo CD version of Gates of Thunder visuals reminiscent of Thunder Force III. Wish I could see what that post used to be, but oh well. *Gate of Thunder Force - The only one of tomaitheous' that Romhacking seems to know of. *Sonic 3D: No Flickies - What it says on the tin, you just have to reach the end of the stages. *Sonic: The One Ring - Changes the objective of finding the goal post into finding the one ring in the stages of Sonic 1. *Sonic 2 LD - attempt at turning Genesis Sonic 2 into Master System/Game Gear Sonic 2 *Sonic 2 - The Hybridization Project - attempt at making Genesis Sonic 2 have the Master System/Game Gear Sonic 2 levels. *Sonic 2: Sonic 3 Edition - Makes Sonic 2's stages and mechanics feel like Sonic 3
*Sonic Boom - Sounds interesting, but might not be my kind of hack. *Knuckles in Sonic 1 (mentioned one this page twice) - What it says on the tin. *Robotnik's Revenge - Boss rush using Sonic 2 as it's base, with Sonic 1 bosses in the mix. *Dragoon X Omega II - Sci-fi total conversion of Final Fantasy.
Streets of rage 2 syndicate wars ips Patch#
Apparently since then, a patch has been made, to make navigating the overworld much easier: Much harder, as Zelda hacks tend to be, for the same reason, you don't know where to get the sword/it takes a long time to. *Zelda Challenge: Outlands - Total conversion of the original Legend of Zelda. have pretty much made the same mistake, though theirs might be smaller: I would have just added Goro, Kintaro, and the MKII version of anyone else that's missing, if I had the skill to do something like this. *Ultimate Mortal Kombat Trilogy - massive hack that no regular emulator will run, nor is there an official way to play it on actual hardware(unless something changed in the last 4 years?). *Sonic Megamix - Massive total conversion of Sonic 1, ported to, and finished up on the Sega CD.
*Tails in Sonic 1 - What it says on the tin, he has his Sonic 3 abilities. To recap this thread, this is what's been mentioned so far: So with Pyron's color hacks coming out, I decided to dig back into rom hacks myself. You can load from the SD card at any point you wish, and I've gotten the current read-speed up to an average rate of 93 KB/sec.īy the way, my current favorite hack is Sonic: The One Ring.īumping this 4 year old topic 'cause I'm too lazy to make my own :p.
Streets of rage 2 syndicate wars ips code#
Myth-aware homebrew can have 1MB of ram for fixed things like code and variables, and up to 7MB of bank switched ram for data. For example, instead of needing every single character and background and music and intro and cutscene in ram, you merely load what you need NOW. The hack COULD be turned into a Myth-aware homebrew that loaded data as needed into the ram off the SD card. Let's say a max of somewhere between 6 and 7 MB. It can't support 8MB like the MD-Pro 64 or Neo Myth because the "OS" takes up a certain amount of the 8MB of flash on the Everdrive. The Everdrive-MD currently is designed to only support 5MB via the SSF2 bank switching.
The cart Tomi made for it only works on a plain MD without either the CD or 32X because of that.
However, that MK hack is 10MB if I remember correctly, and not designed around SSF2 bank switching, but one single 10MB rom. The TotoTek MD-Pro 64 can run a game up to 8MB as long as it uses SSF2 bank switching. The Megacart won't run it either since that one has even less space on board, (only 24M) The Everdrive flashcart won't run it either, I even had an interesting discussion about it with Krikkz (who made the cart)Īnd he seemed interested in making a cart that could run hacks like these, but he said that it won't happen anytime soon.Īs far as the Tototek flashcarts go, no dice no more then 32M roms can be run from there, (even the 64M carts can only run 32M max) Nope doesn't run, and I even had some chats about it with Chilly Willy and TmEE and the Neo's hardware just won't allow a game like that to run. It will work but you'll need Tomy's (from Tototek) specially designed flashcard (), But sadly its not for sale in the Tototek shop.
